Guildo Horn, who represented Germany at the Eurovision Song Contest 1998 with the more comical entry Guildo hat Euch lieb will host an international song festival for handicapped people, which will take place in German town Bielefeld on October 16th.

12 singers or bands from all parts of Europe will compete in this festival, which exists since 1994. Previous contests took place in Tampere, Finland or Appeldoorn, the Netherlands. Horn, who worked with mentally handicapped people before, was also part of the jury for the German preselection to this contest. “These musicians live their music, this is pure emotion”, the singer was enthusiastic about this experience.

Horn was not too pleased with the recent Eurovision Song Contest. “This is just a weak copy of itself”, he said, “the time is up for new artists, not for fully choreographed presentations”. Blowing the same trumpet as Austria's Alf Poier, he misses “individual persons”.
