On the 1st of June the popular Maltese TV show Tista tkun int (It could be you) Miriam Christine got the surprise of her life� live on air!
Miriam Christine was told that the following day she would be flying, for the first time since being adopted at the age of 13 months, to Brazil in order to try and find her birth mother, brothers and sisters.
The surprise was actually initiated by Miriam Christine�s adoptive parents, knowing that this has been a dream of their daughter for a long time. Since her adoption, Miriam Christine lived on the Maltese sister-island Gozo with her adoptive parents.
One of her career's highlights is her participation in the Eurovision Song Contest 1996 where she performed In a woman's heart. Nowadays Miriam Christine writes her own R'n'B music with her boyfriend, Mark Warner.
On Sunday June 15th it was revealed on the same show that Miriam Christine did, in fact, located her mother in the small town of Santo Antonio Do Descoberto.
Miriam Christine was then asked to sing a song for the viewers. Still emotionally shoked, she stepped up to the microphone and began to deliver a solo performance of Amazing grace when the doors to the stage opened behind her, revealing her birth-mother.
Only weeks before the surprise trip to Brazil, Miriam Christine and her boyfriend, Mark Warner co-wrote what is by far the artist�s most personal song to date; Mystery mama is a soulful number dealing with Miriam Christine�s adoption.
