Everything is getting geared and ready for the forthcoming Eurovision Song Contest in Düsseldorf. Rehearsels will be kicking off on the 1st of May. The stage construction is well under way, the German broadcaster NDR has been working very hard in order to showcase a mangnifcent stage.

The stage set is circular with a 13 meter diameter with a 20 meter catwalk spreading out half way through the audience in the middle of the arena ending in a "satellite" smaller stage. 2 LED Screens will be looking over the stage. The audience in the arena will play a key role in the production of the show, thus will be integrated in the stage.

Germany will be hosting the Eurovision Song Contest for the 3rd time in Eurovision history, having hosted the 2nd Eurovision Song Contest in 1957 in Frankfurt and in 1983 in Munich. The Düsseldorf Arena will play host to the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest thanks to Lena's victory last year in Oslo.
