Eric Saade the 2011 Swedish Eurovision representative has released the videoclip of his 2011 Eurovision entry Popular. Sweden has won the Eurovision Song Contest 4 times in 1974 with ABBA, in 1984 with Herrey's, in 1991 with Carola and in 1999 with Charlotte Nilsson. Will Eric bring the trophy back to Sweden again?
Sweden is all set to treat the European audiences to an extraordiary and dazzling performance when Eric takes the Eurovision stage next May in Dusseldorf. The Swedish delegation will be travelling to Dusseldorf withthe glass cage and have been given the green lightby the German broadcasterto use their special effects and glass cage during Eric's performance. As you all will remember from the Melodifestivalen final,the glass cage explodes during Eric's performance.
Sweden will compete in Semifinal 2 on the 12th of May in Dusseldorf. Sweden debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1958 and has won the contest 4 times (1974, 1984, 1991 and 1999). Will Eric give Sweden its 5th Eurovision victory? We will know the answer in May.
