Just some days ago, on wednesday 2 July, Michelle Courtens graduated from her study at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam (Amsterdam Music Academy).

After an ear fondling performance the commission rewarded her with a nine, on a scale of one to ten ten being of course being the best. Michelle sang 5 of her own songs, adding De Verzoening from Dutch singer Frank Boeijen; Venus and Mars from V. Tolstoy, E. Svensson and M. Littwold and Ave Maria on her Cello.

Michelle represented The Netherlands at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2001 with her song Out On My Own. She scored a sad 16 points, giving her a shared 18th position with Latvia.
