Norway at Eurovision 2018
Following his trimphant victory at Eurovision 2009 in Moscow, Alexander Rybak won Norway’s national selection Melodi Grand Prix and went on to represent his country at the Eurovision Song Contest 2018. This time, he took in his luggage the track That’s how you write a song, an umtempo hit slightly different from his 2019 Eurovision entry Fairytale.
Alexander was high at the booker’s preferences, with and his second victory in the competition being a serious possibility. Despite winning the second semi-final, he only came 15th at the Grand Final, gathering a total of 144 points by the national juries and the public.
