Tonight the Austrian national final better known as Dusseldorf wir kommen will take place. Ten acts will compete to win the right and represent the country in the second semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest on 12th May.

The show

The national selection will kick-off at 20:15 CET on ORF 1. Ten songs were picked during the pre-selection process won by Klinsmann feat. Joe Sumner. The public will select the next Austrian entry in the Eurovision Song Contest. Three super-finalists will be selected to go on stage and re-perform. The winner to go to Germany will be announced shortly after. Mirjam Weichselbraun, Robert Kratky and Andi Knoll will host tonight's show.

Austria has returned to the Eurovision Song Contest after three years of absence. Their latest entry was Get a life – Get alive by Eric Papilaya, which didn't qualify for the final of the 2007 Eurovision Song Contest that took place in Helsinki.
