Next year, the Dutch selection will take place in six rounds. The new hosts will be Nance and Humberto Tan. Also the location has been revealed: the Pepsi Stage Theater in the south-eastern part of Amsterdam will be the place where all selection rounds and the final will take place. It has space for around 1,800 people.
Nance is known as one of the jury members in last year's Dutch national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest. Humberto Tan is host of a sports programme (Studio Sport). It seems that Harm Edens and Loes Luca are out of the picture for hosting the Dutch national final.
Although the concept for the Dutch national Eurovision selection has to be worked out, it's known that there will be six shows to select the participant for Istanbul 2004. Production company IDTV will take care of the concept, together with the Dutch public broadcaster TROS. After every of the four selections with six songs each, two winners will be selected. In the fifth wildcard round, two extra songs out of the best unselected songs from the previous four selections will be selected to end up with 10 songs for the final. The selections and the final will take place in January and February.
