ERT, the Greek national broadcaster has announced that the 2011 Greek Eurovision national final will be held on Wednesday the 2nd of March at the ERT studios in Athens. A total of 6 acts will be competing for the golden ticket to Dusseldorf. Who will follow the footsteps of Giorgos Alkaios and his friends?

The Greek national final will be held on the 2nd March where Nikki Ponte, Kokkina Halia,Valando Tryfonos, Antigoni Psychrami, Trihimotonio and Loukas Giorkas feat. Stero Mike will battle out to fly the Greek flag in Dusselfdorf. The winner will be decided by a mixture of televote and jury vote at a 50/50 split. The Greek final will be aired live on ERT and ERT SAT via satelitte.

Greece debuted at the Eurovison Song Contest back in 1974 and has won the contest in 2005 with Helena Paparizou with My number One.
