The Georgian national broadcaster has extended the deadline for singers and composers to submit their applcations until the 10th of February. The Georgian broadcaster has received 30 applications so far. The Georgian Eurovision national final will be held sometime in mid February.

The deadline forcomposersand singers to send in their applications for the Georgian Eurovision 2011 national selection competition has been extendeduntil the10thofFebruary.TheGeorgianEurovision 2011national selection processkicked off 2 weeks back,witha deadline set onon February the5th. But the producing group of the Georgian Public Broadcasting (GPB) hasdecided to extend the deadline for another 5 days.

A total of 30 applications have been submitted to the GPB for the time being. GPB encourages all producing groups and singers to take part in the contest. The jury will select the best contenderout of the candidatesthat will perform at the Georgian Eurovision 2011 national final, whichis scheduled tobe held in mid February.

Participants who wish to compete either as composers or singershave to present a song in Georgian orEnglishwith the duration of maximum 3 minutes, an autobiography and a photo.The winner in the national final will represent Georgia atforthcoming Eurovision Song ContestinDüsseldorf next May.
