OGAE Azerbaijan reports that the Azeri Eurovision 2011 semifinal scheduled for last night was cancelled and now all the five candidates will battle against each another at the Azeri Eurovision 2011 national final. The date of the final is not yet known.
Azerbaijan debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2008 and this year will mark the country's 4th entry. Their best placing at the Eurovision Song Contest has been in 2009 with Arash and Aysel'sentry Always when they came 3rd.
The five Azerbaijani finalists:
- Ilhama Gasimova
- Ilqara Ibrahimova
- Eldar Gasimov
- Aynishan Guliyeva
- Nigar Jamal
