Today at 18:00 CET, the official deadline to submit songs for this year's Moldovan national selection will pass. Although local media reports show that TRM (the national broadcaster of the country) is unsatisfied with the quantity and quality of the submitted entries, several popular local performers have applied for the right to represent the Moldovan nation in Düsseldorf.

According to local press, several former Eurovision contestants such as Natalia Barbu entered this year's Moldovan national selection for the European favourite music show. Also, well-known local performers such as Karizma, Eugen Doibani, Dyma, Ionel Istrati, Sasha Bognibov, EL Radu, Valeria Tarasova, Cristina Croitor& Boris Coval, Marcel RoÅ�ca, Veaceslav Daniliuc andIon Csnopolischii will try to win the Moldovan ticket to Düsseldorf.

Moreover, we have been informed that this year's Romanian runner-up act, Ianna & Anthony Icuagu will try their luck in neighbour country Moldova with a song called The cave of Life.

SunStroke Project featuring Olia Tira were last year's Moldovan representatives at the Eurovision Song Contest. Their up-tempo dance act entitled Run away, managed to score enough points in order to qualify for the big final where they occupied the 22nd position of the scoreboard gathering 27 points.
