During the announcement of the winner of this years Eurovision Song Contest the stage will be conqured by silver rain of confettis and an enourmous firework will be shot to Rigas' sky.

Member of the special effects team Hannes Närep thinks the silver rain of confettis will be something really special. “A 100 kilos of confettis might be big in Baltic contex as well as European,” he said.

Citizens of Riga who are not going to the final concert can enjoy a 10-minute long firework. It will take place approximately 1 am Latvian time and is viewed best between the shores of river Daugava and Riga Old Town.
