Former Eurovision stars who represented Moldova in the Eurovision Song Contest will take part in the third edition of the Slagarul Anului 2010 competition, to be held on December 17th in Chisinau. Also, a handful of artists who participated in the country's national selections will compete as well.

The most recent Eurovision act to feature in Slagarul Anului 2010 is SunStroke Project & Olia Tira, who came 22nd this year in Oslo. They will sing their Eurovision entry Run away. Nelly Ciobanu, 14th in Moscow 2009, will compete with the song Ploi. Moldovan viewers will have the chance to see Geta Burlacu as well. The 2008 representative will sing Violet. And last but not least, Natalia Gordienko, who represented her country together with Connect-R and Arsenium in Athens 2006 ending up 20th, will perform Cind plingeam.

A total of 35 artists will battle to become the "hit of 2010" in the Moldovan music scene. Some of them have already experience in the country's national selections for Eurovision i.e. Dyma, candidate in 2010 with Manipulate, Akord, Boris Covali, Mihai Teodor, Mariana Mihaila or Nona Marian.

The event will take place at Palatul National in Chisinau, on December 17th at 18:00 CET (19:00 local time).
