Azerbaijani broadcaster Ictimai TV have announced the beginning of their selection process for Eurovision 2011. The procedure, according to the public television, will stick to the Eurovision rules and regulations and transparency will be guaranteed. Out of all the applicants, 100 will be selected to participate in the selection.
Ictimai states on its website that "transparency and objectiveness will be provided". Also, the opinion of the viewers will be taken into consideration, together with the jury's verdict.
In this preliminary phase of the national selection, Ictimai will choose 100 hopefuls to participate in the process. It seems that the broadcaster seeks polyvalent artists, as they are calling for participants that must stand out for their "beautiful voice, dance ability and stage culture".
