Kejsi Tola, the Albanian representative in the Eurovision Song Contest 2009 in Moscow, has decided to put her music career on hold. In the coming years she only will be focused on her studies.
The 18 years old Albanian singer, Kejsi Tola who represented her country in Moscow with the song Carry me in your dreams, has decided to take a break in her music career. Kejsi finished high school this summer and is ready forher studies at the popular Academy of Art in Tirana.
In a recent interview with a local newspaper, Kejsi was asked why she didn’t appear in the music scene since her last participation at Festivali i Këngës 2009: "I was very busy with my last school year in high school and this summer I have been preparing for the exam of Academy of Art. Luckily, I passed this exam and in October I’ll start with my studies at the Academy of Art in Tirana, option classical singing." Kejsi says.
Kejsi was also asked if she is going to take part in the Albanian music festivals: "Next month I will start with my studies and I have decided to take a break in my music career, so I will focus esclusively on my studies. I also will not take part in Kënga Magjike this year and I think it will be the same for Festivali i Këngës, but never say never." said the 18 year old singer.
Keji Tola won Festivali i Këngës 2008 with her up-tempo song Më merr në ëndërr and got the Eurovision ticket. In 2009 she represented Albania in Moscow and finished 17th with 48 points.
One year later she took part again in Festivali i Këngës. This time, her dramatic ballade was less successful and finished 15th.
