The reception of the home entry to the 2003 Eurovision Song Contest, Latvia, took place last night in Riga's Melngalvja Nams. The event was hosted by the group F.L.Y.

The home entry has certainly put a lot of effort and money in arranging this reception which was really lavish. On the small stage inside the building F.L.Y. performed their entry Hello from Mars a couple of times and a few of their other songs. The trio also acted as the night's hosts.

The event didn't only focus on the Latvian entrants, but also featured a few of the other contestants: Malta's Lynn Chircop performed her entry To dream again, Poland's Ich Troje didn't sing their Eurovision entry but another song. Dutch Esther Heart and her vocalists gave a beautiful acoustic version of One more night and Belgium's Urban Trad sang Sanomi.

The various performers were accepted with enthusiasm but the most popular act of the evening was surely F.L.Y. themselves, who took advantage of the media interest in the event to thank and pay their tributes to their seperate recored companies.
