Maltese star Ira Losco continues to ride on her own success by touring around the globe with other local bands. Ira Losco has just returned from a successful tour in Australia together with popular Maltese group Tribali who performed at the Blues and Roots festival alongside Crowded House, The Fray, Jeff Beck, Buddy Guy, Lyle Lovett. This year the festival attracted over 115,000 people.

The 2002 Eurovision runner-up is planning to perform infront of 25,000 people in Sheffield Stadium on the 24th of April should the flights resume. Howard Keith (spokesperson for Ira Losco’s management) said that there are more destinations for the Maltese singer. Ira Losco is expected to perform in France, Germany, Italy and China.

“When I perform outside our shores I am exposed to incredible musicianship, which is both exciting and inspiring for me. At present I am working on my new album, a new concept and more foreign performances”, said Ira Losco with reference to her busy promotional tour. Ira is currently working on her new album expected to be released at the end of this year.

According to Howard Keith she is writing and recording her own music. There are high expectations for her new album following her last successful album entitled Fortune tller which still enjoys extensive radio play and a number 1 spot on the leading radio stations.

Ira Losco represented Malta in the Eurovision Song Contest 2002 with the song 7th Wonder. She finished 12 points short from clinching victory in Tallinn.
