With great pleasure, organisers of the UKeurovision Preview Party have confirmed that the Third Annual event will go ahead this year. The event had been in danger due to lack of sponsorship this year. The event will take place at London's exclusive Shadow Lounge nightclub on Brewer street.
The Third Annual UKeurovision Preview Party will take place on Sunday 2nd May. The event had been in danger due to low interest from sponsors, but funding has been secured thanks to personal support from two high profile benefactors, none other than Paddy O'Connell, the United Kingdom's semi final commentator and host of the previous events and Eurovision Song Contest author John Kennedy O'Connor.
The party will feature DJ Dave Simmons and a select number of special guest appearances. The line-up will be smaller than in previous years, but the atmosphere will be more electric than ever before. The venue is perfect for a huge Eurovision Song Contest celebration and the 2010 participants attending will be there to perform, party and enjoy the night with the fans in attendance.
Venue
This year, the event will move to London's exclusive Shadow Lounge, with only 200 tickets available to fans this year. The incredible sound system and the stage being so close to the dancefloor means that this will be the most intimate event so far and fans attending will get the chance to meet the performers in person throughout the night, unlike in previous years.
The Shadow Lounge are supporting both the organisers by not only providing the venue with a late license, but also the fans with a special happy hour during the night. More suprises for fans will be announced very soon.
Ticket Sales Information
Ticket sale details will be announced in the next two days on esctoday.com and the official event website at www.ukeurovision.com which will be updated for the 2010 event tomorrow (Thursday 8th April).
Tickets will be available to Eurovision Song Contest fans 24 hours before going on General Sale through the official Shadow Lounge website. They are expected to sell out very quickly, and organisers are trying to ensure that fans get the chance to purchase tickets in advance to ensure that as many as possible get to attend.
First Artist Announced
The organisers have today confirmed the first guest as Niamh Kavanagh, Ireland's third successive act to appear at the event. Niamh of course is also a former Eurovision Song Contest winner and will be performing her 2010 entry, It's For You as well as In Your Eyes at the event and meeting fans during the night.
Additional performers will be announced shortly. Stay tuned to esctoday.com and www.ukeurovision.com for the latest information.
