The German national final for the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 was held yesterday. The six different versions of the song were released minutes after the show and winner Lena Meyer-Landrut currently occupies the top three of the German itunes charts with her three entries.
Satellite, Bee and Love me are currently occupying the first three spots in this order. Jennifer Braun's version of Satellite is currently at number fourteen while her own song I care for you is currently at number four. Her version of Bee is occupying number seven at the moment. The physical single with all three songs, which will be released on Monday, can already be ordered and the CD is currently at number three on the amazon.de music charts.
Furthermore, the viewing figures of the German national final have been announced. The programme was a major success and attracted an average of 4.50 million viewers making it the most watched programme of the day among the younger audience.
Meanwhile, the songwriters of the four songs in the national final were revealed:
- Bee: Written by Rosi Golan, Per Kristian Ottestad and Mayaeni Strauss
- Satellite: Written by Julie Frost and John Gordon
- I care for you: Written by Martin Fliegenschmidt, Claudio Pagonis and Max Mutzke
- Love me: Written by Stefan Raab and Lena Meyer-Landrut
In 2009, Germany was represented by Alex Swings, Oscar Sings! with the song Miss kiss kiss bang. The duo finished 20th in the final with 35 points. As a big four country, Germany is directly qualified for the final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 on 29th May.
