Tonight, the semi final of Unser Star für Oslo, the German performer selection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 was held. Four acts competed and two of them were chosen for the national final.

The following two acts have qualified for the national final this Friday, 12th March:

  • Lena Meyer-Landrut
  • Jennifer Braun

The results

The qualifiers were chosen in two rounds of voting. After the first round, the bottom act in the televoting was eliminated. Kerstin Freking, who had performed Hands clean by Alanis Morissette was the unlucky one. After the second round, another singer had to leave the competition: Christian Durstewitz, who had performed I'm yours by Jason Mraz and In your hands by Charlie Winston.

The two qualifiers will compete in the German national final. Three songs will be presented first, and the favourite will become the song for Oslo. The two performers will then both perform the song and the winner will be eventually chosen.
