Tonight, the second chance round of Melodifestivalen 2010, the Swedish pre-selection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2010, was held. Out of eight competing acts, two were chosen to complete the line- up of the grand final, to be held on March 13th.
The following two actsmanaged to qualify to the national final, to be held on 13th March:
- Pernilla Wahlgren – Jag vill om du vågar

Therefore, the complete line-up for the 2010 Swedish national final looks like this:

The results
A total of six duels were held to determine the two qualifiers:
- Duel one: Pernilla Wahlgren qualify, Pain of Salvation are eliminated
- Duel two: Crucified Barbara qualify, Paula is eliminated
- Duel three: Kalle Moraeus & Orsa Spelmän qualify, Neo is eliminated
- Duel four: Jessica Andersson qualifies, Alcazar are eliminated
- Duel five: Pernilla Wahlgren goes to the final.
- Duel six: Jessican Andersson goes to the final.

The esctoday.com poll voters did not agree with the results at all. In the first round, the winner of each duel was the one that placed lower in the poll than the respective other act. In fact, the four qualifers were the bottom four in the poll. Jessica Andersson and Pernilla Wahlgren tied for fifth place in the poll receiving 9.8% of the votes each.
In 2009, Sweden was represented by Malena Ernman with the song La voix. She finished fourth in the first semi final but dropped to 21st place in the final getting 33 points. In 2010, the country will compete in the second semi final of the Eurovision Song Contest on 27th May.
