Today, the BBC has announced more details on the live broadcast of Your country needs you, the UK Eurovision selection for 2010.
The UK final shall take place on Friday 12th March and will be broadcast between 20:30 and 22:00 on BBC One. This partly denies the information that had been released by Alexander Rybak, the winner of the Eurovision Song Contest in 2009 with Fairytale, which says he is performing at the UK Final at 19:00 on Friday 12th March. This will be the first time since 2003, when Jemini represented the UK and scored 0 points, that the UK Final has not been held on a Saturday night.
The BBC has also confirmed in this statement, made via the BBC Eurovision Twitter account, that there will be 6 acts in the UK final. However, no news on who these 6 acts are has yet been made.
The United Kingdom, as part of the Big 4, will automatically be in the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest Final, on May 29th.
