The Slovenian national final for the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 was held tonight. 14 acts competed in the final of EMA 2010 and eventually it was decided that Roka Žlindre & Kalamari will represent Slovenia with the song Narodnozabavni rock written by Marino Legović and Leon Oblak.

The winner was decided by 100% televoting. Roka Žlindre & Kalamari won by a landslide getting more than four times as many votes as runner-up Nina Pušlar.

The esctoday.com poll voters did not agree with the choice. The winners had only finished seventh in the poll 3.5% of the votes. Runaway poll winner Manca Špik (35.2%) only finished fourth in the televoting.

The 2010 esctoday.com National Final Awards will be held between April and May, which means between the national final season and the Eurovision Song Contest. We will repeat the same format with two rounds for nominations which was used this year – you can read how it works here. However, this time the individual polls for each country will always be held right after the national final, when the entries are still fresh. You can vote for your favourite performance not to qualify in the Slovene national final here and for your favourite song not to qualify here.
