After three semi finals and a second chance round, the Norwegian national final for the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 will be held tonight. Eight acts are in the running to represent the host country of the upcoming contest and therefore to become the country's 49th representative in the event.

The show

The show to be broadcast on NRK1 will start at 19:55 CET. It will be hosted by Marte Stoksstad and Per Sundnes at the Spektrum arena in Oslo. Eight acts will present one song each and the winner will be chosen in two rounds of voting. In the first round, televoting alone will select the top four. In the second round, the winner will be chosen bya mixture of televoting and regional jury voting.

In 2009, Norway was represented by Alexander Rybak, who won both the second semi final and the final with his song Fairytale. Norway is therefore the host country of the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest and directly qualified for the final.
