Major changes in the voting of the contest will be implemented in 2010: in the semi-finals the song with the most votes will progress direct to the final, and will not participate in the second round of the semi-final, in which the remaining top 4 songs battle again for a place in the final and in the Andra Chansen round – the 2nd placed song progressing to the final and the 3rd and 4th placed songs progressing to Andra Chansen. In the final, the original 11 regional juries of Sweden seen in past contests will be abolished, and replaced by 11 new juries – five of which are Swedish, and six of which are European, giving an even distribution into the new, enlarged Europe now participating in the Eurovision Song Contest. The international jury will still be in the contest, but they will only be the 12th jury in the grand final voting process. In Andra Chansen, the voting has unchanged, there will be two rounds of duels, with the winners of each duel proceeding to the Final to be held on Saturday, March 13th in the Globen, Stockholm.
