Luleå (northern area of Sweden), Sundsvall, Örnsköldsvik, Falun, Karlstad, Norrköping, Jönköping, Växjö, Göteborg (Eurovision Song Contest 1985), Borås, Helsingborg (southern part of Sweden), Skövde and Borlänge wants the semi-finals in the beginning of 2002.

SVT-producer Svante Stockselius said that he will examine all the proposals and will announce the 4 winning cities as soon as possible.

The final will be helf at March 1 in the Globen Arena in Stockholm, the location of the Eurovision Song Contest 2000.
