2009 French entrant Patricia Kaas will give her very last French Kabaret concert tonight at the Casino de Paris. Two more dates are scheduled in Athens, February 6th, and Minsk, one week later (a third one may be added in Moscow) and this will be the end of a very long tour, which has visited more than 20 countries. Right before her Parisian concerts, Miss Kaas received a Golden record for her CD, Kabaret.
Yesterday’s edition of daily France Soir published an interview with the lady. Among other questions, journalist Nicolas Palita asks: What have you learned from your Eurovision participation? “I never had as much media coverage in all my career", Patricia answers. "Of course, there were some malicious remarks and unpleasant things to read. Of course, during the voting, I was disappointed, this is natural but life goes on. If it has to be done again, I would do it, with the same song as it is pure 'chanson Française' ”.
Regarding future projects, Patricia declares that she will very soon think about another tour. She also received proposals for theatre plays and movies. “Soon in Broadway?”, French magazine L’Express’ blog asks. Gilles Médioni reports on a possible role in Broadway or West-End, but more as a rumour. The same journalist reminds Kaas’ Eurovision experience and mentions her recent awards at a eurofans’ poll… esctoday.com of course. You can learn about it here .
In spite of a busy career, Patricia tells France Soir that she wants to have more time for her private life. “I turned 43 in December and I have to organize my life differently. I must give more place to the man who’s in my heart and in my mind”. Still, Patricia declares that she’s no more in love with the famous head-cook Yannick Alléno. “There’s nobody in my life presently”. “Wouldn’t you like to start a family?”. “Having a child is in my mind. It has to be done in the years to come. If I can’t, I will surely regret it as I come from a large family”.
Patricia Kaas represented France at the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest, in Moscow, ending up 8th with the song S'il fallait le faire.
