Fresh acts have failed to make a dent in the current bookies’ top ten today, after the first set of semifinal 2 songs took to the stage.
Aside from Bulgaria and Romania, acts from the second semifinal still struggle to make an impact at the bookmakers. Romania, which had its first rehearsal today, retains a strong lower top ten placing. Meanwhile, Bulgaria trails Italy in second place, holding off a Swedish threat from Robin Bengtsson in third place.
The biggest shake-up in the top ten is the fall of Belgium. Odds on Blanche have drifted in the past 24 hours, leaving City Lights below France in 10th place.
Denmark and Netherlands bubbling up
Outside the top ten, Denmark and Netherland are bubbling up from the mix after their stage appearances earlier; the countries sit in 12th and 13th favourite position on average across bookies this evening. While Finland clings onto 11th place, Greece slides down into 16th in the meantime.
Estonian hopefuls Koit and Laura hover at 14th, and are to rehearse for the first time tomorrow. Can a strong showing lift the country on a par with its status a fan and OGAE favourite? And can Bulgaria hang on to its enviable silver position after taking to the stage for the first time?
