Alexander Rybak, the latest winner of the Eurovision Song Contest for Norway, gave an impressive performance of his hit Fairytale yesterday evening at the Nobel Peace Prize Concert, held at the Oslo Spektrum. Rybak shared the stage with other nine acts.
The concert was hosted by the American actor and singer Will Smith and his wife, the actress and singer Jada Pinkett. The show featured a total of ten acts that performed in front of an absolutely crowded Oslo Spektrum.
Alexander was one of the guest artists yeasterday evening. He gave a fascinating performance of Fairytale, the song that brought him success both in his home country, Norway, and abroad. The other nine acts that performed in Oslo were the Irish band Westlife, Natasha Bedingfield, Wyclef Jean, Donna Summer, Toby Keith, Lang Lang, Luis Fonsi, Amadou & Mariam and Esperanza Spalding.
This year's winner of the Nobel Peace Prize, President of the United States Barack Obama could not attend the concert, although the hostess of the show, Jada Pinkett, said that Mr Obama "would love to be here tonight, but he is absolutely here with us in spirit".
