Dina, who represented Portugal in the 1992 Eurovision Song Contest, is celebrating her 30th aniversary as a singer with a big concert today at Teatro S. Luis in Lisbon.
She was the Portuguese singer at the 1992 edition of the Eurovision Songcontest with the song Amor de agua fresca which became a hit in her career. In 1980 she made her debut at the national final and was considered Best Newcomer.
Her career spans three decades and has been a mix of recognition and oblivion. Such songs as her Eurovision entry, Há sempre música entre nós, Esta manhã em Lisboa among others give her a special place on the history of Portuguese music. She is also well known for songs that made part of the soundtracks of TV series. In 2008, Dina released her most recent album Da cor da vida after tens years away from recording studios.
Today, in Lisbon, at Teatro S. Luis she will revise all her most successful songs and present a new song at a concert to celebrate her 30 years in the music industry.
