Thirty-nine Countries are competing in this year's Eurodanceweb Award, the most famous contest dedicated to dance music with songs from all over Europe and the Mediterranean Area. Entries are selected that have a strong link with their National language and culture. Once again, esctoday.com is a media partner to the awards, and once again, several artists with Eurovision Song Contest connections are competing for you vote.

Bulgaria are represented by former Eurovision Song Contest representatives from 2008, Deep Zone Project (Eurovision Song Contest 2008 for Bulgaria). Several artists that have come close to reaching the Eurovision Song Contest are also competing for the award. Tone Damli Aaberge is flying the flag for Norway with her Melodi Grand Prix entry from this year, Butterflies. Merzedes Club, who took second place in the 2008 Icelandic National Selection represent the best of Icelandic dance music this year.

Competing against the Eurostars are some big names chosen by the Eurodanceweb team after monitoring the International record market. Amongst them is Belgian dance project Lasgo with Gone, the Irish trance producer John O'Callaghan with Find yourself – sung by Sarah Howells, and the British pop star Calvin Harris with his number one single I’m not alone.

All the tracks will be voted by a professional jury of disc jockeys, journalists and radio speakers that, within the end of the year, will elect the winner of the 2009 Eurodanceweb Award.

Also readers can choose their favourite entry on the Online Poll, directly on the Official website of the competition, where also audio files, pictures and more information about the competing artists can be found.
