Croatia will use some English after all

Despite the result of the televoting, conducted in a special programme, “Zivi zid”, dedicated the Eurovision participation of Claudia Beni (picture), the Croatian broadcaster HRT decided that a part of the Croatian song for the Eurovision Song Contest 2003 will be sung in English.

Last week a special programme dedicated the Eurovision participation of Claudia Beni was broadcasted on Croatian television. In that program, the viewers had the opportunity to vote for the Croatian or English version of the song, the winning version was to be sung in Riga. The Croatian version of Claudia's Eurovision entry, “Više nisam tvoja”, received almost twice as many televotes as the English version, “This is for real”.

Eurovision-spain.com now reports that the HRT has decided that the last part of the song will be sung in English after all.

The language in which the song will be sung had to be reported to the EBU at the head of delegations meeting in Riga yesterday.
