Tonight, on France O, the public TV channel dedicated to French overseas, a concert of Kali, given at Lâ Atrium, the biggest arena in Fort-de-France, Martinique, will be broadcast. The Caribbean artist represented France at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1992, taking eighth place.

Part of the program An Koulis (en coulisses, in French; backstage, in English), this concert is to celebrate Kali 35 years career. Born in 1956, Kali (real name Jean-Marc Monnerville) has recorded a big number of albums in a style inspired by the traditional music of the French Antilles, played on banjo, acoustic piano and percussions, with references to reggae.You can see alive performance given last July in Rochefort (France) below.

Kali represented France at the1992 Eurovision Song Contest inMalmö, Sweden with the song Monté la riviè, performed in Creole and French,. The song placed 8th with a total of 73 points.
