Slovenia kicked off their national final process tonight, and chose the first four songs to qualify for the final of EMA 2017.

This evening saw the first 8 acts of the selection performing in the first semi-final of EMA 2017. It was down to a combined public and jury vote to determine which 4 acts should qualify to the final of the competition next Friday.

The qualifiers were announced together on the evening, 2 of which were determined via the televote whilst the final 2 acts were chosen by a jury.

Semi-final 1 qualifiers

The top 4 songs chosen by the public and jury were:

• KiNG FOO – Wild ride
• Nika Zorjan – Fse
• Sell Out – Ni panike
• Omar Naber – On my way

This means we say goodbye to Tosca Beat, Lea Sirk, Zala and Alya in tonight’s show.

Tomorrow evening, Slovenia will choose their next four favourite songs to qualify for the final of EMA 2017, which will be held on Saturday 24 February.
