The singer who will represent Armenia at the 2017 Eurovision song contest, Artsvik Harutyunyan, has returned to her homeland to start preparing for her Eurovision participation.

Armenia chose Artsvik as their 2017 representative through the massive 8 week long extravanganza Depi Evratesil on December 24th 2016.

Since then, she has been actively involved in the process of selecting her song. The Armenian Public TV Company aim to ensure the chosen song matches Artsvik’s character, as well as the general ideology and format of the Eurovision song contest. They have said they are hoping to score their first victory, having made the top ten six times out of the ten times they have competed.

Tonight, Artsvik will perform at concert held near Yerevan’s Swan Lake. The concert is devoted to St. Sargist’s Lovers Day. She will also perform tomorrow at concert held in Lovers’ park.

Artsvik will sing for Armenia in the second half of the first semi-final, which will take place on Tuesday 9th May 2017.
