The Big Poll has once again performed strongly in predicting the qualifying entries for the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest. Tonight, 8 out of nine top predictions qualified for the final. The tenth song in the BigPoll was predicted to be Moldova, however they were replaced by Cyprus as the highest jury choice.

Tonight, 9/10 of the Big Poll predicted countries qualified for the Eurovision Song Contest as final. 8/10 qualified by removing the tenth country and placing the highest jury vote country not to be predicted. The only country predicted by the BigPoll to qualify that will not be in the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest final is Poland.

The country only country that qualified not predicted by the BigPoll was Croatia, however Croatia had the highest vote increase since rehearsals began,just missing out on a place in the top ten. Overall, the BigPoll correctly predicted 19/20 songs, and when replacing two countries with the highest placed jury vote predictions, 18/20.

The BigPoll for the final will open in just a few minutes time.
