Alexander Rybak, Norwegian representative in the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest, spoke exclusively to esctoday.com. He has been playing the violin and singing since the age of five and he became famous as a contestant in Norwegian Idol and as the winner of the talent search Kjempesjansen.

The interview took place during the Norwegian delegation boat trip. Alexander will represent Norway at number six in the second semi final of the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest tomorrow, 14th May with his own composition Fairytale. Last year, Maria Haukaas finished fifth for Norway in the final with her song Hold on be strong.
