Svetlana Loboda, Ukrainian representative in the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest, spoke to esctoday.com. The singer is a trained musician having graduated from a music school as a jazz vocalist and conductor and she had success as part of various bands and as a solo artist.
Svetlana was joined by her five backing performers when she spoke about the rehearsals and her expectations regarding the Eurovision Song Contest. She will perform Ukraine at number 17 in the second semi final on 14th May with her own composition By me Valentine! (Anti-crisis girl). She has a tough act to follow as Ukraine finished second on the last two occasions. In 2008, Ani Lorak also won the second semi final with her song Shady lady. Ukraine has also never missed a Eurovision final since their first participation.
