Runner-up at the Serbian Eurovision Song Contest in 2008, Ani Lorak, joined forces with her Ukrainian successor for Moscow 2009 tonight to host the Ukrainian party at Eurodom in the city centre.
Ani caused a sensation when she sprang onto the stage to reprise her 2008 entry Shady Lady, which received riotous cheers from the enthusiastic crowd. She also treated the audience to a couple of numbers from her album Солне (Sun) before this year's Ukrainian hope Svetlana Loboda took to the stage with an explosive rendition of Be My Valentine. Complete with her full entourage of male (and female) dancers, the cheers continued as she followed up her Eurovision entry with other hits including ика (Mishka). Thepairwere also joined by several of this year's acts, including Azerbaijan's AySel and Arash.
