After waiting for probably longer than ever, the hosts for the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest were finally revealed. There will be four hosts for the three shows, among them the previously announced presenters Alsou and Andrey Malakhov.

The two semi finals on 12th and 14th May will be hosted by Natalia Vodyanova, a fashion model living in London and Andrey Malakhov, a fmous TV presenter in Russia. The grandfinal on 16th May will be hosted by singer Alsou and media personality Ivan Urgant. Alsou represented Russia in the Eurovision Song Contest in Stockholm in 2000 and finished second with Solo, the country's best result at that time.

Alsou is already the 12th former participant to take on the host role. The first one to do so was Corry Brokken in 1976 and the latest one was Zeljko Joksimovic in Belgrade last year. It is not only the first time that the semi final/s have/has different hosts than the final, four main hosts in total is also an overall Eurovision Song Contest record (not counting various backstage reporters).
