Duulce Pontes is releasing today a double album containing many of the songs that compose her succssessful career as a singer and songwriter. Her Eurovision Song Contest entry “Lusitana Paixao” is not included.

Dulce Pontes was a newcomer to the Portuguese music scene when she won the Portuguese national final in 1991. She then represented Portugal in Rome where she achieved a respectable 8th place.

In 1993 Dulce launched her second CD called "Lágrimas" where she sang fado with new arrangements. This was criticised by music experts but turned out to be a huge success. One of the tracks that had the most projection was "Canção do Mar" which is one of the most recognised Portuguese songs in the world.

Since then her world music as a singer has taken in hundreds of concerts worldwide. She has worked with such names as Andrea Boccelli, José Carreras and Ennio Morricone. She was also the composer and singer of the athem of the New Seven Wonders.

The latest album is called "Momentos" and gathers many songs recorded live in many stages around the world.
