Debutant commentator for the United Kingdom this year, Graham Norton, is recovering from a fall at home which left him with two broken ribs.

With just days to go before the Moscow Eurovision Song Contest scene gets going, Norton took a tumble down his own staircase after returning home after hosting the recent BAFTA film awards in London. But now it is just a case of taking pain medication and being patient as his body heals, as the star explains: "I've been to hospital and was given horse-tranquillising pain-killing medication. But there's nothing they can do about broken ribs."

Party pooped
Unfortunately for the presenter, strong pain medication may mean he has to miss out on the ubiquitous partying associated with the Eurovision Song Contest season. "When I opened my pain medication today it said to avoid alcoholic beverages for four to six weeks – so I'm going to be sober in Moscow." he explains. Hopefully the UK delegation will avoid giving him too much of a 'ribbing' about his predicament!
