OGAE France are next to announce how they have voted on the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest entries. In a meeting held this afternoon in Paris, the majority of French fans have voted Norway, thus giving the country 12 points. Iceland is second and Azerbaijan completes the French top-3.

Below you can read how the French branch of OGAE have voted:

  • 12 Norway (176 votes)
  • 10 Iceland (111 votes)
  • 8 Azerbaijan (86 votes)
  • 7 Sweden (80 votes)
  • 6 Finland (67 votes)
  • 5 Bosnia & Herzegovina (61 votes)
  • 4 Greece (58 votes)
  • 3 Israel (54 votes)
  • 2 Denmark (53 votes)
  • 1 Estonia (51 votes)

Just missing out:

  • Spain (48 votes)
  • Switzerland (42 votes)

No major changes have been introduced to the overall scoreboard after the French vote. With Norway clearly in the lead and hard to reach for the countries right behind the Nordic country, the battle for the top-5 gets tighter. Once again, Spain receives zero points and, with France voting and therefore unable to vote for themselves, Bosnia & Herzegovina is now just 1 point behind Spain and battling for the 3rd place. Sweden is not far away, with 47 points. Between the 6th and the 10th place there is a difference of just 7 points.
