Today Sasha Son, the Lithuanian representative at the Eurovision Song Contest 2009, is going to appear in a support concert called “Let's be together”. The concert is meant to add to the Lithuanian budget for Sasha's Eurovision preparations. Although the singer has received some financial support from Vilnius' municipality and mayor, there is still a lot of money lacking.

The concert "Let's be together" will be aired on LTV and streamed on the internet. The purpose of the event is that TV watchers will be able to send in their SMS messages or transfer some money to a special bank account. "Who else can help me if not people that have voted for me?", Sasha said to esctoday.com in March. So far only 1.450 Euro were dedicated for the preparations by the Vilnius municipality, but the city's mayor stated that he is going to support Sasha Son with his personal money. LRT will just cover Moscow transport and accomodation for the Lithuanian delegation. The staging costs will be covered by Sasha himself. Usually the Lithuanian government supports the country's entry with a small budget which has not been finalised yet for Sasha's bid.

Sasha Son will perform his most popular songs in the concert, as well as his last year's Eurovision song Miss Kiss which took third place in the Lithuanian national final. He also has invited his friends to appear in the concert: Linas Adomaitis (Lithuania 2004 in duet with Simona), Skamp (Lithuania 2001), Ovidijus Vyšniauskas (Lithuania 1994) and many others.

Although Sasha Son hasn't got a sufficient budget for the Eurovision Song Contest, he is not canceling his trip to Eurovision stars' concert in Amsterdam, nor his promo-tours to Malta and Ireland. The week after Easter, the Lithuanian representative is releasing his single CD for the song Love. The CD will contain all three full versions in Lithuanian, English and Russian. Also the three minutes Love version will be found on the track.

The support concert will start at 20:00 CET on April 13. It will be streamed live here .
