In an effort to appeal to as many fans as possible, Serbia's Eurovision Song Contest entry for Moscow will be recorded in a whole range of different versions, and made available for download over the coming days.
Versions in the pipeline include the usual foreign-language versions including Russian, French, English and even Hebrew, but also new mixes including a brass, Latino and dance version of Serbia's song. Composer Aleksander Kobac explains that "the aim is to introduce Balkan music to the European dance club scene". The new versions will be available soon from the broadcaster's website rts.rs .
The last shoe-inspired song from the Balkans was Severina's Moja štikla, performed in Athens in 2006. Placing at a solid 12th position that year, Marko Kon and Milaan will be hoping to do slightly better in the second semi-final, in order to make the grand final on Saturday 16th May.
