Susanna Georgi, this year's Andorran representative, gave yesterday some details about the perfomance she will stage in Moscow. Susanna announced that she will be accompanied by four backing singers, with no supporting dancers. The Andorran representative said that in a joint press conference with Soraya, Spanish hopeful in Moscow.
Susanna Georgi explained that she is not using backing dancers because, unlike Soraya's performance, hers does not require such spectacular resources. The two singers gave a joint press conference at the RTVA headquarters in Andorra la Vella following Soraya's visit to the Principality as a stage of her international promotion schedule.
Both Susanna and Soraya said that the feeling between them couldn't be better. The Spanish representative stressed on Susanna's experience on stage as something to learn from, because Soraya entered the show business as a professional four years ago, after participating at the talent show Operación Triunfo. Susanna remarked Soraya's humbleness and professionalism as her main features.
Susanna also explained that, after her participation in Eurovision, she will release the CD she is currently working on. The Danish-born singer spoke sincerely about how hard she had to work to reach her position. Susanna told that she was born in a very small village in Denmark, in a very poor family, something that has not prevented her from succeeding, having enjoyed her parent's support and put a very big effort on reaching her aims.
Soraya shared Susanna's message that "every dream can come true" and remarked that humbleness and sacrifice are two irreplaceable keys to get a name in this world called music.
Susanna Georgi will represent Andorra at the first semifinal of the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest, to be held on May 12,with the song La teva decisió. Soraya is already qualified for the final since Spain is a big-4 member. She will sing La noche es para mí on May 16.
