March 30th, saw the official release of Patricia Kaas' album Kabaret in France, together with a bonus CD which includes a live recording of her present tour, Kabaret.

The live CD was recorded during the concerts she gave last January at Le Casino de Paris. Below you will find both track lists. In bold characters are the greatest hits of the lady, who started her career back in 1985. At the time she recorded her very first single, Jalouse (jealous), with lyrics by Elisabeth Depardieu, French actor Gérard Depardieu's wife. He's the one to have met the young lady during a set she gave in a German cabaret, close to her native Lorraine (in France). Still, the first single was a flop but Patricia entered the business and managed to get a smash hit on Spring 1987, with Mademoiselle chante le blues.

Of course, the double CD Kabaret includes two versions of the Eurovision French entry : in studio (the same that was available for downloading til now) and the live one,and inthe second CD, in a version which is the one she will perform in Moscow.

Thanks to Johnny Logan and Hold me now I fell in love with the Eurovision Song Contest, a love that's been going strong ever since with undiminished passion. My first memories date back to 1977 and the lyrics of Rock bottom, Dschinghis Khan and A ba ni bi are still engraved in my brain. I joined esctoday.com in 2006 as a junior editor after being invited by Barry Viniker, I soon became Senior Editor and during the 2007 contest in Helsinki I was appointed Head of Communications. Today I hold the post of Head of Human Resources and I am proud to be working with the best editorial team in the world.
