The line up for the Eurovision Promo Concert in Amsterdam is still growing. Today we can confirm that both Soraya and Chiara will perform as well in Amsterdam on April 18. In the next couple of days several other 2009 hopefuls will be revealed.

Maltese singer Chiara will take part for the third time in the Eurovision Song Contest. In the 1998 she became third with the song The one that I loveand 7 years later she became first runner up with Angel. This year she will try her luck with the song What if we.

Soraya will represent Spain in Moscow. Her song La noche espara mi is considered already to be one of the favourites to win the contest this year.

Ticket sales and accommodation

Ticket sales have started in the meantime via the special websites www.eurovisioninconcert.com andwww.amsterdam-marcanti.nl International fans can find a special offer there (Hotelroom against reduced price andfree transport from hotel to Amsterdam Marcanti). Tickets for the concert will be priced at EURO 20,00 but OGAE members canvisitthe concert againstthespecial price of EURO 10,00 and are advised toreserve tickets via [email protected]. Tickets at the door of Amsterdam Marcanti will be priced EURO 25,00.

Eurovision is Concert 2009is organised by www.esctoday.com, www.songfestival.web-log.nl, OGAE Netherlands, Bea Records and café Rouge (well known café in Amsterdam). The aim of the event is to celebrate the 50th participation of the Netherlands in the Eurovision Song Contest. Besides that the organisers hope to bring the '4 times winner' back on the map for Eurovision promotours. Preliminary to the concert there will be a welcome reception in The Hague followed by a guided tour and a press conference whereafter both Dutch and international press is invited to conduct interviews with the 2009 hopefuls. The concert will be hosted by former representatives Marga Bult (ESC 1987) and Maggie Mc Neal (ESC 1974 and 1980).
