All 42 entries in the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest 2009 are known. Everytime an entry is selected, esctoday.com holds a poll asking the readers to evaluate the song and weekly charts are presented to show the most popular entries chosen so far among the readers.

How does it work?

Once an entry is selected, a poll is held with the following six options: I love it, I like it, It's ok, It's nothing special, I don't like it and I hate it. The options are transferred to points of the values 3, 2, 1, -1, -2 and -3 respectively. The percentage an option got is then multiplied by its value. Therefore, the highest score an entry can get is +300, the lowest is -300.

Important announcements: New polls today

  • Thisweek is the last week the results are based on the current polls. As all entries are know, new polls are launched tonight. You can vote by following the links below, through our poll section or at the bottom of an article about the respective country.
  • To reduce tactical voting, the current results of the new polls are not visible.
  • The new polls will open at 22:00 CET.

What is the object of this poll?

These polls are just held "for fun" and supposed to reveal which songs have the most fans so far. The charts are in no way supposed to predict the outcome of the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest.

In most polls you can find on the internet, people can just vote for their favourites, so songs that have many fans are likely to top those polls, no matter how many people don't like them at all. Our polls include likes and dislikes, so songs that polarise very much are most likely to be found in the middle of theboard, while the songs at the top are usually the ones that would find the highest approval if they did well in the Eurovision Song Contest, no matter if they are seen as top favourites.

Charts for 16th March 2009

The results are based on the votes cast until 19:00 CET.

None of the three new entries made a major impact on the charts. The Swedish entry, which has almost as many votes for "I hate it" as for "I love it", is the only one that managed to enter the charts on the plus side. Malta climbed the highest this week, by four places.Switzerland dropped the most on the list and is now ten spotsbelow last week's position. Ukraine is now at the bottom of the list and the reason, why Belarus is not the last placedcountry for the first time.

Don't forget to vote in the new polls, which will open at 22:00 CET.
